From the Vendor:
“This is a portable set of calligraphy tools. Three items, an inkstone, ink stick, and brush, fit inside a drawstring with a particular Japanese pattern. You can write letters, calligraphy, etc. whenever you like.
With this, you can write anywhere and anytime.”
From me:
High quality sumi ink stick, stone, and brush. An excellent introduction to the traditional Japanese Calligraphy tools. These ink sticks vary greatly in quality and price. True sumi sticks require four years of aging, and will last “for centuries” with minimal, but proper care. This set is designed for travelling, but it is the only set I could find that is appropriate for entry level enthusiasts and the curious. Ink sticks alone can run into the hundreds of dollars, and ink stones as well vary greatly in price and quality. Brushes I have found at various Japanese centric stores, such as Oomomo, and Muji, but also run the entire spectrum of price and quality.
The kits are identical, with two patterns of drawstring bag available.
