As Canada Post has increased the cost of letter mail (Stamps) by 25% effective today, I have no choice but to increase the cost of low value, small orders that are eligible for letter mail accordingly. Letter mail options for those items under 2cm in thickness are now $7 for up to 100 grams, and $10 for items 101-500 grams. Parcel Post prices have not been affected by today’s price increases, and remain at a maximum $20 flat rate for Domestic, and most North American addresses.
Note regarding International Shipping, as we have opened the opportunity for orders to be placed from outside of Canada now, shipping has become more complex than ever. If placing an order from an international address, simply choose the Flat Rate option for shipping. As stated elsewhere, orders are only submitted, and no payment is accepted on the website. S&H will be calculated, and an email will be sent outlining the possibilities for shipping. Once approved, a second invoice will be sent from our Credit Card payment platform.
Orders placed are only “submitted” for review. The wide range of products and associated different shipping costs make automating the entire process a nightmare. . Orders submitted for review are checked for stock and correct shipping tier selected, and then confirmed. Local pickup is St. Catharines, Ontario.
There is no such thing as free shipping, one way or another it must be paid for, either by the overall cost of products being raised to cover the costs, or some other strategy
The variability of purchases, and the wide range of the shipping costs can be confusing, a Brass Shim by itself can be mailed with a single regular stamp, ink samples require extra postage, and magazines require the maximum postage allowed before parcel post becomes the only option. Much research has been done, and Canada Post’s flat rate boxes have proven time and time again to be the most economical method of shipping. To make matters a little less confusing I have simply rounded the cost of those down to $20.00. Virtually any order can be shipped for $20, and if the order is larger than will fit, either due to size or weight alternate methods can be entertained.
TLDR: DOMESTIC ORDERS: products 2cm or less in thickness can generally be mailed by letter mail, depending on weight, $7-$10. ANY products, regardless of cost that are thicker than 2cm require Parcel Post at a flat rate of $20.
